Whether you're moving because you're replacing an old server, you're tired of exhausting valuable resources to maintain your own Dynamics GP system, or you want better mobility, Syvantis is here to help at every step of the way.
What is Microsoft Azure?
Microsoft Azure is an open and flexible cloud platform that developers and IT professionals use to build, deploy, and manage applications through a global network of datacenters. Syvantis utilizes the Microsoft Azure platform to develop cloud solutions for Microsoft Dynamics products and Office 365.
Why migrate Dynamics GP to Azure? Moving your data to Azure data center typically reduces system costs related to server operating costs and maitenence.

The Azure Migration Process
Day 1
Project kick-off
During your project kick-off meeting, you and your project manager will meet and set dates and times for the remainder of your migration project.
Technical Review
During your technical review, our migration team will review your modules, customizations, and ISVs and validate our process to match your needs.
Create GP Migration Test Plan
The most important part of your cutover is the time you and your users spend validating the new system. We will work with you to create a testing plan so that your users feel confident with their system on day one.
Week 1
System Upgrade
If you are not on the most current version of Dynamics GP, we will begin by upgrading your database so that you have access to all of the latest Dynamics GP features.
Migrate to Staging Environment
In this phase, our team will migrate your existing data to your new system in preparation for staging. Once your data is live in your Azure environment, your users will be able to begin validating your setup.
Weeks 2 - 3
Onboard Users
It's important that your users feel comfortable with their new system the day they start using it. That's why we onboard them prior to cutover and allow them to test the system before they begin entering live transactions.
Execute Test Plan
It's time to begin entering transactions into your staging environment. During this phase of your project, you and your users will test and validate the system and let us know if there's anything we can do to make the system better for you. This can take as long as you need to verify that you are prepared for cutover.
Production Cutover
On cutover day, we will take your system down late in the day or after business hours and perform the remaining migration of your data. Most companies choose a Friday to perform their cutover, but you can choose any date that is convenient for you. On Monday morning, your users will log into the new system and begin entering transactions.
Weeks 4+
Ongoing Support
After your project is complete, you will be introduced to your customer experience team. Each month, you and your team will have the option to meet with a dedicated Dynamics GP consultant for a one-on-one Q&A session. It's important to us that your system grows as you do, so we make sure that we are able to provide you with the best recommendations for you.
If you run into issues with your system at any point, simply contact us to create a support case. We use a tiered ticketing system to ensure that your issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
“We have zero tolerance for downtime. And in the end there was no downtime. There was no disruption to the business.”
