If you are unfamiliar with the 2025 Release Wave 1 updates to Dynamics 365 Sales, we have a blog post to help you catch up. Microsoft documentation will also help you learn about all of the updates in Release Wave 2 and how to plan for them.

Be sure to look at our other blog, which includes an illustration of the Release Wave schedule and an introduction to the release wave planner, a useful tool for tracking and reviewing features you’re interested in.

Row Summaries

The new row summary features allow users to receive an AI-generated overview of important details about a record. This helps users quickly understand and summarize essential data without manually scanning different fields, activity timelines, or separate records. This tool will present the summaries as paragraphs or bullet points to help keep the information clear, concise, and easy to understand. This new feature will improve efficiency, usability, and accuracy through the fast insights provided.

Access these summaries in the following ways:

  • Use the insights bar at the top of the main forms.

  • View pages by selecting the inline summary action in the grid, which opens the summary for a record in a modal popup.

  • Toggle this feature on or off based on preference.

Streamline Data Entry with Smart Paste

Individuals in sales often waste valuable time due to the amount of manual data entry they need to partake in daily. From entering information received from emails, business cards, and more into your CRM, this could take significant time, taking away the opportunity for you to be doing more sales-oriented tasks, like closing deals.

In this release wave, you can streamline data entries with Smart Paste. Smart paste is a tool that uses AI to analyze what you copy to your clipboard, identify the key details within it, and automatically fill them into the right fields. This can be done with content from an email, business card, or other information receipt, reducing the manual effort so you can prioritize your time in other areas and reduce the busy work. This can only be done one tab at a time, but even with this limitation, you are significantly improving your speed through this automation, giving you back time to focus on other tasks.

Visualize Data with Natural Language Search

Copilot is an AI tool with many beneficial features. This Release Wave Copilot will enable you to visualize the data in the form of a chart to help you easily understand trends, patterns, and relations in your data. This visualization will be interactive, based on the visible columns in the view, and can be personalized to support further data exploration.

This feature will merge the natural language and visualize with Copilot feature, allowing for a new way of viewing and understanding data. We have a fast class that provides more details on natural language search, so you can get familiar with it before the new features of the Release Wave are added. Fast classes are open to anyone with a free Syvantis Learn account (sign up today!).

Hierarchical Data from Multiple Tabs

Hierarchy control in Dynamics 365 Sales is a new feature in this Release Wave that provides an intuitive visualization of your data from multiple tabs. Sellers will now be able to see important connections, such as common decision makers, and take action quickly with less effort. Custom visualizations highlight the most important data and relationships for your accounts, people, and opportunities.  This new feature provides full editability, allowing your team to easily view, edit, and update customer information in context without leaving the visualizer.

Restore Deleted Records within a Specified Timeframe

Have you ever deleted an important record that you shouldn’t have? Sometimes, during business processes, you can get caught up in the speed you operate and make a mistake. Still, these mistakes no longer need to be a long and difficult process to recover these lost items, or flat-out impossible.

The new Recycle Bin feature allows you to recover table record data from most delete scenarios within a specified timeframe. All you need to do is have your admin turn on this feature and select the timeframe for which you can restore table records (up to 30 days), and you will be all set with the new recycling bin feature. For more step-by-step configuration and limitations to this feature, Microsoft offers documentation to help you set it up. We also offer a fast class on this new feature that will help break down how to set it up and how to utilize the Recycling Bin. Fast classes are open access for anyone with a free Syvantis Learn account (sign up today!).
