Make sales management easier on-the-go with the new Dynamics 365 Sales mobile experience

For salespeople in the field that spend most of their time on the road, it can be difficult to find the time to make sure their CRM data is up to date. Frankly, it is difficult to use most CRM applications on the road. The latest release of Dynamics 365 Sales expands the mobile experience to help salespeople to quickly access and update customer information on the go. We have put together a few ways that Dynamics 365 Sales improves the mobile CRM experience for salespeople on the go.

These features are currently in public preview with general availability expected to be announced soon.

Complete tasks on the road

Traditionally, completing tasks in a CRM system take multiple steps to navigate to the correct form which can be tricky on mobile – especially if the user is constantly running in-between meetings. The new mobile experience in Dynamics 365 Sales makes it simple to access and update important information like upcoming meetings and sales tasks with as few clicks as possible. Adding notes to records like leads, opportunities, and contacts is now one click away on mobile.

Improved mobile search

Search is perhaps the most used navigation feature in CRM systems. Search on mobile can be tricky especially if the mobile app isn’t proficiently optimized for the limited screen space. The new search bar in Dynamics 365 Sales Mobile provides search suggestions as you type and groups related search results to make sure you find what you are looking for. Lists are also now more responsive in the mobile app  making it easier to scroll and pinch with finger movements and perform bulk actions by selecting multiple list records.

Dedicated space for Dynamics 365 Field Sales users in the Dynamics 365 app

The new Dynamics 365 Sales app is not meant to be a one-size-fits-all app. Instead, Microsoft has developed it as a standalone app within Dynamics 365 meaning it is to be used by salespeople to solve specific challenges that they experience on the road every day. Salespeople will be happy to learn that sign in is easy – just enter your email address (no more needing to remember their organization specific URL.)

To install Dynamics 365 for phone and tablets, look at Microsoft’s documentation for full instructions.

Having difficulty installing the Dynamics 365 app? Microsoft requires devices to be on iOS11.4.1 and Android 6.0.1 or later to install the app. Check out the full list of supported devices here.
